Fugar Produzione and Wellness Foundation: two leaders together to promote an intense week of wellness
Since 1974 Fugar has been a leading manufacturer of premium-quality compound ingredients for confectionery and ice-cream making. Since 2002 the Wellness Foundation has promoted wellness, supported scientific research and promoted health education projects. Two leading businesses that become one single pulsating heart, sharing the common goal of promoting the style of good living, in perfect balance among physical, nutritional, mental and social aspects.
Therefore, Fugar together with Wellness Foundation are the promoters of the Wellness Week, a Week dedicated to Wellness and Healthy Lifestyles, and the main players in the organisation of the "Il Gelato Wellness’"event.
Under the auspices and the concrete support of the Municipality of Verucchio, Fugar gives 4th- and 5th-graders of the Villa Verucchio School the chance to become little ice-cream makers for one day.
On 25 and 26 May, two Fugar experts will lecture on health and nutrition, the quality of regional products and the importance of a healthy lifestyle at the School Auditorium.
Fourth- and fifth-graders will choose their favourite seasonal fruit, that may be available from the family kitchen-garden, and on 29 May at 10 am, they will bring it to Piazza Europa in Villa Verucchio. Children will find an open-air ice-cream laboratory where, with the help of ice-cream masters of Fugar, they will have the chance to turn their fruit into tasty and authentic ice-cream.
All participants can have a taste of free ice-cream made with the fruit brought by the pupils, in addition to that offered by Almaverde Bio and Solarelli.
Organic ice-cream will be made, using certified raw materials, as well as ólvi ice-cream, containing no milk or ingredients of animal origin, and suitable for lactose-intolerant people, vegans and all those who choose a balanced diet for their lives.
The programme will also include fitness activities offered by the Centro Just Fitness of Villa Verucchio.
In case of bad weather, the event will take place at the former parochial theatre - Romagna Mia Hall - on Via Casale, Villa Verucchio.
